Our pub restaurant offers freshly cooked meals, prepared by our talented chef, and cooked over hot coals, delivering a unique flavour. Make a reservation with us today by booking online.

We would like to inform regulars, and those planning to travel, that our restauraunt is currently closed. At present we are unable to provide a date for reopening, but this website will be updated as soon as we know more. In the meantime, our online booking system is closed for reservations. Starters & Sides


  • Buffalo wings
    A starter portion of succulent buffalo wings coated in a spicy buffalo sauce and dry spice rub, cooked and charred over the hot coals
  • Baked camembert (V)
    Baked camembert cheese topped with rosemary and roasted garlic, served with a spicy chilli jam and toasted ciabatta bread for dipping
  • Garden toast (V)
    Posh garden toast cooked over the hot coals with sourdough bread and topped with heritage tomatoes, mozzarella and red pesto
  • Salt and pepper squid
    Locally sourced squid from Grimsby, charred over the hot coals and served with a black garlic mayonnaise and pickled vegetables
  • Smoked salmon crumpet
    Butter fried crumpet topped with the best quality fresh salmon, served with horseradish crème fraiche, spring onions, pea shoots and dill
  • Texel lamb cutlet
    A grass-fed Texel lamb cutlet from the Yorkshire Dales, served with the green delight of pea puree, mint sauce, pea shoots and pickled shallots
  • Side salad (V)
    Mixed seasonal salad with lettuce, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, onion and grated carrots, a perfect side to any meal or a lighter bite to eat
  • Twice cooked hand cut chips (V)
    Beer or chips? Hand cut twice cut chips (served spiced or salted). Want one of our homemade sauces to dip? Add one for just a pound extra
  • Mashed potato (V)
    Creamy locally produced mashed potatoes with butter and seasoning, flavoured with a delicate blend of secret ingredients
  • Minted peas (V)
    Our minted peas can be the perfect bar snack or a lovely side to your meal on a warm summers day, with a refreshing and cooling taste
  • Cauliflower cheese (V)
    Local cauliflower coated in a silky smooth cheese sauce, topped with chedder and grilled, and served in a hot pot. Add black pudding for a quid extra
  • Beer battered onion rings (V)
    Great with a beer, these rings of onion are coated in one of our house brewed ale batters and served with our beer BBQ sauce

Main Courses


  • Sirloin steak (12oz)
    12oz sirloin cooked over the coals and served with watercress salad, cherry vine tomatoes and chips or mash. Why not add peppercorn, chimichirri or blue cheese sauce?
  • Dry aged hanger steak (14 day)
    Dry aged hanger steak served with a heritage tomato and onion salsa, hand cut homemade chips and a colorful and flavorful chimichirri sauce
  • Teriyaki pork ribs
    Tasty pork ribs in a salty and sweet teriyaki sauce, cooked over charcoal and served with a red cabbage, chilli and fennel coleslaw. Includes chips or mustard mash
  • Pork loin cutlet
    Award winning free range pork cutlet from Redhill Farm, served with cider and apple sauce, black pudding, potato croquette and fennel slaw
  • Ginger braised brisket
    Locally sourced beef brisket from Tony Arber in Scotter, braised with ginger and served with jasmine rice, picked vegetables and crisp rice noodles
  • Steak and ale pot pie
    Tender beef cooked in our very own brewed beer, with a puff pastry lid and served with a side of minted peas. Includes a choice of either chips or mustard mash
  • Double cheeseburger
    Cooked over the coals and served in a toasted brioche bun with blackened onion relish, cheddar cheese, burger sauce tomato, gherkin and luttuce. Includes hand cut chips
  • Halloumi burger (V)
    Home-brewed beer battered haloumi served in a brioche bun with lettuce, tomatoes and homemade tartare and mint sauce. Includes chips or mustard mash

Friday Lunch


Our Friday lunchtime specials are available from midday to 5pm every Friday, and include a choice of any drink from the bar! Choose any drink to accompany the dish below, including a pint of bitter, pint of lager, glass of wine, pint of cider, spirit (single) or soft drink. The choice is yours!
  • Fish and chips
    Locally sourced prime fresh haddock (purchased directly by ourselves at Grimsby Fish Market) filleted and coated in our house-brewed beer batter, served with homemade chips cut from local Lincolnshire potatoes, with minted crushed peas or traditional mushy peas. Drink also included, see block above

Sunday Roast


Our roast dinners are served on Sunday from 1pm till 7pm. During this time our usual menu will be unavailable, apart from few select dishes and deserts. Our beef is served pink, so please ask if you would like it well-done. Any allergies please inform a member of our staff. Kids eat half price.
  • Roast beef

    Classic sticky toffee sponge and a delicious whiskey sauce, served with a choice of either vanilla ice cream, custard or cream
  • Vanilla ice cream
    Three rounded quenelles of locally produced, homemade vanilla ice cream, served with handmade shortbread warmed over the coals
  • Apple crumble
    Locally sourced apples blended with a cinnamon and sultana crumble, served with a choice of either vanilla ice cream, custard or cream
  • Bread and butter pudding
    Traditional bread and butter pudding, served with a sweet banana brûlée and locally produced, homemade vanilla ice cream
